Gastroenterology Out-patients

The Gastroenterology department offers an excellent range of outpatient clinic sessions from general clinics to specific disease clinics i.e. liver clinics and dedicated specialist nurse clinics for IBD (Inflamatory Bowel Disease), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). The department also has a dedicated Upper Gastro Intestinal specialist nurse who will attend outpatient clinics when necessary.

Welcome to the Gastroenterology Outpatient Service

The Gastroenterology outpatient clinics serve over 8,000 appointments a year. About 3,000 of these appointments are for new patients, and 5,000 for follow up patients.

The new outpatient appointments are booked by our centralised booking team based in offsite premises at Rouen Road  and is a Choose & Book service.

Follow-up appointments are booked at the time of your last visit and or by the consultant/support secretaries at the clinician's request.

Please use the East Out-patients entrance/s and follow the signs to General Medical Out-patients
