Private Patients
Our Private Patients service enable people to choose to have private treatment with all the facilities and expertise that comes with a 21st century NHS university hospital.
We offer both in-patient treatment facilities with our 20-room private Cringleford Ward and also Private Out-patient clinics.
Choosing private healthcare
All the income we get from the care of private patients is reinvested in services for all our patients. So, by choosing to go private you can also help the NHS.
If you have private health insurance ask your GP or consultant about being treated in our Private Patient Unit.
If you do not have private health insurance, you can also self-pay and we can send you a list for fixed price treatments.
Amenity Beds
From the inception of the NHS, hospitals have included "amenity beds" which would typically be siderooms fitted more comfortably that standard facilities, where a fee is charged if more amenity is provided.
This type of service differs from being a private patient in that no professional fee is paid to the specialist and all other aspects of the clincial service provided are the same as for NHS patients.
NHS Patients can book an amenity bed on Cringleford Ward - call the Admissions Managers for more information and current costs.
