Mortuary

The mortuary provides a respectful and dignified service to all the patients that die with in the Hospital. A service is also provided to the Norfolk Coroner for all unexpected deaths that occur in the community and require a post mortem examination.

Mortuary staff offer an out of hours emergency on call service to the Coroner and Hospital to carry out any related work including post mortems, viewings and identifications with bereaved families. Viewing arrangements are by appointment only and can be made by contacting the mortuary direct in working hours or via the hospital switchboard out of hours, weekends and bank holidays (please ask for the on-call Mortuary Technologist).
