Coagulation

The coagulation laboratory provides a service for the diagnosis and monitoring of a range of haemostatic disorders. They perform routine coagulation screening, monitor anticoagulant therapy and also offer a screening service for haemophilia and thrombophilia. This section also undertakes haemoglobinopathy screening and actively participates in the National Screening Programme for Antenatal Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.
