Thousands of patients are seen yearly by the consultant cardiologists with a variety of problems including palpitations, angina, heart failure, narrowed or leaky valves, blackouts, murmurs etc.
The clinical director of NNUH Cardiology department is Dr Tim Gilbert.
Interventional cardiologists include Drs Liam Hughes, Tim Gilbert, Trevor Wistow, Simon Eccleshall, Alisdair Ryding and Toomas Sarev.
Pacemakers and other devices are fitted by Drs Tony Page, Ian Williams, Cairistine Grahame-Clarke and Trevor Wistow.
The teaching programme is overseen by Professor Roger Hall who also undertakes clinics and angiography.
