Pathology

Pathology is composed of two Laboratory Medicine and Cellular Pathology.

Pathology services provide, interpret and report analytical results and when appropriate provide advice on any further investigations that may be required for patient treatment.

Laboratory Medicine encompasses the studies of the Trust's Cytogenetics, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology and Virology departments.

Cellular Pathology has two departments, Histopathology and Cytopathology.
