Hospital AGM focuses on broccoli consumption and prostate cancer prevention
The keynote speaker is Mr Rob Mills, consultant urologist and clinical director at NNUH, who will talk about the significant developments in prostate cancer research and the affects that diet may have on reducing prostate cancer risk
This groundbreaking research is taking place on Norwich Research Park with the Institute of Food Research and the University of East Anglia taking the lead in collaboration with NNUH hospital consultants.
This study has recently been backed by the Prostate Cancer Foundation which awarded $1M to study the effects of broccoli consumption on prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK - with more than 35,000 cases diagnosed each year. Around 11,000 men in the UK die from the disease.
