Hospital Art honoured at Norfolks Arts Awards
The aim of the Norfolk Arts Awards is to celebrate the diverse and growing arts landscape across the county. NNUHs Hospital Arts Project has been nominated in the Education and Community Award category for the support it gives to patients, their families and staff, as well as providing arts events and exhibiting artwork at the hospital.
Emma Jarvis, Hospital Arts Co-ordinator at NNUH, said: We are thrilled to be nominated for this award and are really pleased that the brilliant art we share with our local community is being recognised. Art makes our hospitals warm, welcoming and uplifting and it plays a crucial role in improving the environment for our patients, their family and friends who visit them, and our staff.
There are twelve categories in the Norfolk Arts Awards and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 26th October at the Hostry at Norwich Cathedral.
The Hostry Festival 2012 is being held from 26th October until 4th November. For more information visit www.hostryfestival.org
