Search for new Jenny Lind Children's Hospital identity
The chosen logo is for the Jenny Lind Children's Hospital at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and will be used to make children's services more recognisable and more child-friendly.
The logo choices have been reduced to nine options with different colours and texts and feature an image of either a hot air balloon, sailing boat or a row of beach huts. All of these ideas have been designed to match the children's hospital's current theme of beaches and the broads.
The designs are based on the work of artist Hannah Giffard. Hannah's artwork is featured across the Jenny Lind Children's Hospital.
Associate Medical Director and consultant Neonatologist Dr. Mark Dyke , said "I strongly believe that our local children's hospital needs a more child-friendly and prominent identity. We deliver healthcare to thousands of children from across Norfolk and North Suffolk and we really hope people will take this opportunity to help choose an attractive new logo."
The city's children's hospital is named after a famous nineteenth century Swedish opera singer whose Norwich concerts raised money for a children's infirmary. The original hospital opened in 1854 and made Norwich only the second city to have a children's infirmary.
The public vote will help inform the final decision. In order to cast your own vote please visit www.nnuh.nhs.uk The poll closes on the 31st March.
