Non-malignant haematology service

JL bird3The Jenny Lind Children's Hospital also offers a paediatric non-malignant haematology service for a wide variety of blood disorders. This service is delivered by Consultant Paediatricians Drs' Ponnampalam and Soman and local Haematology Consultants Drs' Lyall and Wimperis. The service is also supported by a paediatric haematologist from Addenbrooke's.


A monthly clinic is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.Children with bleeding disorders (eg. Haemophilia) are jointly managed with the haemophilia service at Addenbrooke's. Children with haemoglobinopathies are managed in conjunction with the outreach service from North Middlesex Hospital
