Professional profile: Graduated from University of Bristol in 1982 and completed post-graduate training in Paediatrics and Neonatology in the South-West of England and East Anglia as well as three years spent in tertiary perinatal centres in Australia. Initially appointed Consultant in 1995 as a general paediatrician with an interest and now largely working in Neonatal Paediatrics. Developed an interest in Medical management as Clinical Director for Paediatrics from 2001-05 and Divisional Clinical Director for Women, Children and Sexual Health from 2005.
