Research interests : Between 2001 2003 worked for the Scottish Programme for Clinical Effectiveness in Reproductive Health (SPECRH), NHS Quality Improvement Scotland and conducted a multicentre cluster randomised trial into methods to improve clinical audit in changing health professional behaviour. Higher degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) awarded in 2008 from University of Dundee.

Professional Profile: Completed undergraduate training at the University of Dundee [BMSc (Hons) in medical microbiology in 1992, MB ChB in 1994] with postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North East of England.
Between 2006-2008 completed subspecialty training in maternal fetal medicine at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne under the supervision of Professor Steve Robson. Returned to home county of Norfolk in 2009 as Consultant Obstetrician.
Concentrates on high risk pregnancies including the screening and diagnosis of problems affecting the fetus during pregnancy. These include nuchal translucency screening and fetal abnormalities detected on ultrasound, rhesus disease, twin pregnancies, and small babies. Perform amniocentesis and chorionic villus biopsy to diagnose chromosomal problems. In addition, has responsibility for general obstetric patients, and provides consultant intrapartum care at the NNUH.
