Quality Improvement Progress
The Trust has implemented a robust Quality Improvement Programme and action plan following its “Inadequate” rating and placement into special measures by the CQC in June 2018. These address all issues raised by both the CQC and the King’s Fund “Organisational Diagnostic Review”. Subsequently, the CQC rating was revised to “Requires improvement” in May 2019 following a re-inspection of our services in January/February 2019.
The governance structure includes a monthly Quality Programme Board to drive the plan forward and an Oversight and Assurance Group, comprising external stakeholders, to monitor progress and check that it remains on-track. A Quality Improvement Evidence Group has also been established to ensure that the actions undertaken to address the recommendations have been properly completed and achieved the desired results.
We are committed to embedding a culture where all staff feel empowered to act as improvers within their own areas and work together to drive improvement across the Trust by sharing learning throughout the organisation.
