Purpose

The Nurse Bank is considered to be an open door to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  We recruit quality nursing staff on a temporary or long-term basis, to meet shortfalls in establishment due to sickness, annual leave and short-term vacancies etc. (further information ) or telephone 01603 286849.

Nursing Assistants

  • A comprehensive training programme for Nursing Assistants to acute hospital standard
  • Processing your application will require two satisfactory references and Disclosure and Barring Service clearance
  • If successful at interview, you will be offered a place on our Nursing Assistant training programme, consisting of two-weeks classroom and ward based training. Following successful completion of the course, you will be invited to register with the Nurse Bank
  • You then have two options:
  • Option One: to remain registered with the Nurse Bank to work flexible hours
  • Option Two: to apply for a vacant position on a contract of employment
