Oedema etiologies covered include orthopedic, post-surgical and post-traumatic conditions, vascular disease, dependency and chronic pain. This course will teach non-lymphoedema certified therapists how to successfully treat a wide variety of chronic and sub-acute oedemas in rehabilitation, hospital and long-term care settings.

This is a two-day residential course for hospital Consultants and Specialist Registrars of all specialties designed to develop confidence and training skills in the clinical environment. It is particularly aimed at clinical supervisors, educational supervisors and those with junior staff training responsibilities. The course builds upon the fact that any clinical event, whether it is surgical, medical or managerial, can be recognised, used and structured to become a training event, whatever the time pressure. This recognises that time is at a premium in the NHS and a sensible balance between work and training is essential to enable training to take place whilst maintaining work throughput.
