This 2-day course is designed to provide essential knowledge and skills in oedema management. Oedema etiologies covered include orthopedic, post-surgical and post-traumatic conditions, vascular disease, dependency and chronic pain. This course will teach non-lymphoedema certified therapists how to successfully treat a wide variety of chronic and sub-acute oedemas in rehabilitation, hospital and long-term care settings.

The course builds upon the fact that any clinical event, whether it is surgical, medical or managerial, can be recognised, used and structured to become a training event, whatever the time pressure. This recognises that time is at a premium in the NHS and a sensible balance between work and training is essential to enable training to take place whilst maintaining work throughput.
