Summary

This 2 1/2 day course is designed to provide an introduction to safe surgical practice within a controlled workshop environment for (FY1 in 2nd post) FY2, SHO, CT1, ST1.

Event Details

The course covers:

open surgery
minimal access surgery
trauma

Features include:

intensive hands-on practice of basic skills
individual tuition, with a maximum of 16 participants per course
personal feedback on performance, with advice for further practice
a detailed course manual and course DVD

Assessment

There is continual assessment throughout the course.

Accrediting Body

Successful completion of the course results in the candidate being issued with a certificate from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
