Summary

For GPs, GP Registrars and novice Dermoscope users

Event Details

Aims:

1. To diagnose common benign lesions with greater accuracy and confidence - thereby reducing unnecessary referrals to secondary care.
2. To diagnose common melanocytic lesions with greater accuracy and confidence.
3. To know when to refer under the 2 week rule and when not to.

Methods:

Some pre-course reading on devices, highly interactive lectures and small group work in the skills lab with close supervision.  Interactive quizzes and peer based learning using advanced technology.  For further information on curriculum please contact Dr Sidha Sambandan (GP CPD Tutor) on sambandan@aol.com.  For those already owning a Dermoscope, it would be useful to bring it with you!  We also hope to enable participants to purchase devices by inviting the manufacturers/agents for the day.

By 5pm on the 12th of October we hope you will be a better dermoscopic diagnostician, than you were at 9am!
