Summary
One-day multidisciplinary course. Available to qualified Registered Nurses (who have attended the Deteriorating Ward Patient Study Day), Radiographers, Physiotherapists, Midwives, Junior Medical Staff and final-year Medical Students. There are a limited number of places available and so they will be allocated according to priority of working area and clinical responsibility.Event Details
Programme includes:
- identifying and assessing the acutely ill patient
- principles of immediate management
- communication skills for acute care situations
- use of a communication tool (SBARD)
- scenario based teaching
- ethics of acute care
