Bishop of Norwich Open Garden in aid of the Friends of NNUH ImageThe first opening of the Bishop of Norwich's private garden in 2012 will be aid of the Friends of Norfolk Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

Taking place from 1.00pm - 5.00pm on Sunday 13th May the four acre site has a great selection on offer, including a grass labyrinth leading to the 400 year old pear tree, the kitchen garden, boxed rose garden with fountain, bamboo glade and central lawn.

Visitors can walk round the beautiful gardens then relax with a cup of tea and piece of cake. There’s even a free quiz to keep the children occupied. The garden will be open between 1-5pm on Sunday 13th May, with last entry at 4:30pm. Admission costs £3 per adult with accompanied children free.

David Prior, chairman of the friends of the hospital, said: “We were delighted to be chosen as the nominated charity for the first opening of the private gardens this year. “We’re hoping that with all the warm weather we have had early this year, the garden will be looking beautiful in May.”

The Friends of NNUH is a registered charity (no.1130560) which seeks to improve the experience of patients, friends and their families here at NNUH. They have recently funded, for example, an ultrasound machine in the Acute Medical Unit; a laparoscopic stack used for patients with gynaecological cancer and a high dependency incubator cot in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Tickets are available by contacting fundraising@nnuh.nhs.uk or by calling 01603 287107.
