One-day shutdown for Cromer Hospital Minor Injuries Unit

The Minor Injuries Unit at Cromer Hospital will be closed on Sunday 29th April when there will be an electrical shutdown of the whole Cromer Hospital site. The one-day shutdown is to allow the final clearance of the old hospital in preparation for the ground works associated with the construction of the new car park

The works involve disconnecting the incoming National Grid Network electrical supply from the transformer which supplied the old hospital. This affects the whole site as the new hospital transformer is fed from the same National Grid supply which feeds the old transformer, meaning an interruption to the new hospital supply.

There are no outpatient clinics running on Sundays at Cromer Hospital. Those patients needing treatment for minor injuries should go to the A&E Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the Timberhill Health Centre in Norwich, or contact the GP out of hours service by ringing their local surgery.
