5km fun run and world record attempt

On Saturday 16th June 2012 at 9.30am the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals (NNUH) running club will be attempting to break the Women's 5km Olympic Record.

This will be followed at 10.15am by a 5km fun run which is open to anyone 14 years and over.

Paul Evans, Sports Project Officer for Active Norfolk and leader of the NNUH Running Club said “This world record attempt is a great example of how NNUH and Active Norfolk are working together to try to enthuse and motivate a more active workforce. Being physically active is so important for a happy and healthy workforce and where better place to undertake this world record attempt than at the hospital.

The 5km fun run is all off road event and all participants will get a medal with a trophy going to the first male and first female to finish. You can register for the event at www.activenorfolk.org/5kfunrun
