Ministers visit marks 64th anniversary of the NHS
The Minister will be meeting patients and staff on Knapton Ward to celebrate 64 years of care from the NHS with tea and cakes. Lord Howe will also find out how a programme of external inspections carried out in partnership with patient representatives and charities such as Age UK has improved standards of care for patients.
The birthday visit is a chance for Lord Howe to thank NHs staff for their ongoing passion and dedication in caring for their patients.
Note to editors
You are invited to send a reporter/photographer for photos and interviews with Lord Howe at 3pm on Thursday 5th July. To confirm attendance please contact the Communications Team on 01603 287634.
