Hospital teams shortlisted for awards

Teams from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have been shortlisted for two separate awards for excellence in developing a touchscreen check-in system for patients and for staff communications.

The hospital’s Information Technology Web Services team has been shortlisted in the Health Business Awards in the category of Healthcare IT for developing a touchscreen check-in system for out-patients that reduces queues and waiting times in clinics.

The trust’s Communications team has been shortlisted in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Pride awards for East Anglia in the category of Internal Communications for the successful introduction of a staff awards scheme.

Last month the Neonatal nursing team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital won the Nursing Times Team of the Year award for joint work with the University of East Anglia School of Nursing and Quidenham Hospice.

The regional CIPR Pride awards final is held on December 7 and the Health Business Awards final takes place on December 10.
