Kelly Davis, Ward Sister on Gissing Ward at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is travelling to Eilat in Isreal to take part in the European Triathlon Championships 2012 on 21st April.
Kelly will be taking on some of Europe’s best athletes in her age group (30 - 34) for the sprint event, which involves a 750m swim, a 20 km bike ride and a 5 km run.
Kelly said "This is a fantastic opportunity and I’m determined to give it all I’ve got. It is the first time I have compteted at this level and it has been hard fitting in training around working full time as Ward Sister but I have thoroughly enjoyed the challange.”
