NEW BUS TICKET
The Fusion bus ticket allows passengers to travel on the bus services of Anglian Coaches, First, Konect, Norfolk Green, Sanders, Simonds and Norse within approximately a ten mile radius of Norwich. The ticket costs £5.50 for Adults. Child and family tickets are also available. It is valid all day (from 0500 to 0200 the next morning), for as many journeys as you like, and you can pass it on to a friend or relative to use too. First Eastern Counties divides Norwich into 5 fare zones, and fares relate to the number of zones through which you travel. The hospital is located within zone 4. Many different ticket types are available. For all comments, complaints, lost property and fares information call 08456 020121.

Airport
Norwich International Airport operates scheduled services to Aberdeen,Amsterdam, Chambery, Corfu, Crete, Croatia, Cyprus, Dublin, Edinburgh, Geneva, Guernsey, Ibiza, Jersey, Lake Garda, Majorca, Malta, Manchester, Menorca, Paris, Sicily, Sorrento and Turkey.
The airport is located in the north of the city and is around 25 minutes journey time from NNUH by car or taxi.
Train
National Express provide services between London Liverpool Street, Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich as well as local services starting and finishing in Norwich and Ipswich including all stations to Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Sheringham, Felixstowe, Cambridge and Peterborough and services to Harwich International.
From Norwich railway station, our advice is to use a taxi to get to the hospital, which is a 20 minute journey across the city.

To the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
There are always plenty of taxis available for hire to take you to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, for example from the railway station or at taxi ranks in the city centre.
From the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
Phones situated around the hospital and at the main entrances have a freephone button to connect you to a taxi company. These will help you order a taxi when you are ready to leave.
Please let the taxi company know exactly where to pick you up when ordering a taxi as it is important that the taxi arrives at the right location.
Help with Travel Costs
Do you need help with travel costs?
If you are not eligible for patient transport , you may be eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses if you are receiving certain benefits. To find out if you are eligible for this assistance, ask your local Social Security Office or telephone our Patient Services Department: 01603 289685.
We can reimburse car mileage (the current rate is 10p/mile) and bus and train fares in full on production of your ticket. NB. We do not reimburse taxi fares.
Loan of money to help you use public transport to return home
You may have been brought to Accident & Emergency by ambulance or by a friend who has now left, and do not have any money on your person. If you are medically fit to travel home independently we can loan you enough money to enable you get home safely by public transport.
