His main interests include colorectal cancer surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and anorectal surgery.

He was trained at St Thomas' Hospital, London and then rotated through the south west and north west of London including the Royal Marsden and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. His final specialist training took place at St Mark's Hospital.
