Hands up to Help
Hands Up To Help is the first project of its kind for our hospitals. It will be the largest in Hospital Arts' history and will help provide invaluable funds. These funds will support new and better environments for many of our Hospital Departments including Critical Care and High Dependency Units, Accident and Emergency Children's Treatment Area, many relative rooms, treatment rooms and waiting areas, while at the same time leading to the creation of a unique piece of art to welcome visitors. With 3,300 metres of hospital corridors and 3,500 rooms, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich provides a vast expanse of space, used 24 hours a day by thousands of patients, staff and visitors. Our work involved transforming and utilising these spaces, decorating and enhancing this environment in a number of ways. We also provide artworks for Cromer Hospital, a unique Hospital based on the North Norfolk coast.
We hope the project will generate the largest collection of celebrity art in the UK. Not only will we collect indivdually created pieces to auction to support the project, but these works will be transformed into a unique large-scale permanent artwork to celebrate the project and celebrities of our time.
