Specialist Services

Most pregnant women will only need routine maternity care provided by the Community Midwife and GP or with some input from a Consultant Obstetrician based at the Hospital. Some women need to access more specialist care, either because of their own health or issues identified with the baby during the pregnancy.

The Fetal Medicine Services compromises of highly skilled specialist consultants and specialist midwives who are here to support you through diagnosis and treatment options when complications arise during pregnancy.

Our Maternal Medicine services care for pregnant people who have significant medical problems in our Maternal Medicine clinics.

The Birth Reflections Service is a confidential service run by midwives which gives you the support and opportunity to discuss and understand what happened during the birth of your baby.

The Bereavement Midwifery Team support families who experience baby loss from 18 weeks of pregnancy.
