Cherry Cubelo, Lead Spinal Injuries Nurse (Masters of Arts in Nursing (Phil), Postgraduate Certificate in Health Studies)

“I was born and bred in the Philippines and arrived here in the UK in 2002. I was a Trauma & Orthopaedic Staff Nurse and have been working as Spinal Cord Injury Nurse since 2015.

“There is so much to be thankful for and the only way I can show my gratitude is to just keep doing my best and continue helping patients receive the utmost in medical and nursing care.”

Leanne Ingham, Senior Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner, Spines (DipHe Nursing, MSc Advanced Practitioner, independent prescriber, spinal cord injury trained)

“I have lived in Norfolk since 2013, which is when I joined the NNUH team. I have been a nurse for over 20 years, specialising in orthopaedics early on in my career. I have also worked as a clinical nurse educator and a ward manager. I joined the NNUH Orthopaedic department in 2013, specialising in spinal care since 2016. I work closely with patients with spinal cord injuries and I am currently working to provide a cohesive and positive pathway for patients with scoliosis. I work in conjunction with the Oncology department to care for patients with metastatic spinal cord compression, and review all spinal in-patients admitted electively or via the Emergency Department to assist in their treatment and care.

“I love working with the spinal team here. Everyone is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, hardworking and caring. Every spinal patient is of utmost importance. We work closely together to constantly extend and improve spinal care provision so we can provide an effective and caring service.”
