Dedication service for NNUH chapel

A special ceremony to dedicate the newest “church” in the county will take place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Friday morning.

The new hospital at Colney is home to a chapel serving a wide community of more than 5000 hospital staff and patients. At a service starting at 11am on Friday, 22nd February, the Rt Rev Graham Jones, Bishop of Norwich, Roman Catholic Chancellor of East Anglia, the Rev Peter Brown, and the Free Churches' Secretary for Health Care Chaplaincy, the Rev Christine Pocock will lead a prayer of dedication.

The chairman of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust, Tony Holden, said: “In our busy hospital world, the chapel has an important function as a haven for quiet reflection for all users, whatever faith or culture.  The chapel is available for patients, visitors and staff as a multi-faith chaplaincy centre.”
