Secure car parks award

Norfolk’s main hospital will tomorrow receive an award from Chief Constable Andrew Hayman for the security and safe management of its car parks.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is being given the Secured Car Park Award, a scheme run by the Association of Chief Police Officers and the British Parking Association. Awards are only granted to car parks that are operated to the highest standards.

These standards relate to security of car parks, management, CCTV, access control, lighting, signage, car park patrols and many other aspects relating to user friendliness.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has Norfolk’s largest car park with a total of 2,900 spaces. The award presentation takes place on Friday, 16th May 2003, at 1.15pm in Seminar Room 26, next to Kilverstone Ward, Level 3 East Block.
