Titanic boost for air ambulance service
Susan Burrows, an auxiliary nurse in the Rheumatology Outpatients department of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, has raised £1,000 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance service – with a little help from her friends.
“I had a lot of support from staff and patients, as well as family and friends, who donated raffle prizes and bought raffle tickets,” says Susan. “We also held a quiz and charged people 50p to see an 8ft model of the Titanic which my husband had built from scraps of copper piping and wood. The model took him six years to complete.”
The raffle was drawn during a quiz night at the County Arts Bowls Club in Plumstead Road, Norwich and Susan would like to thank all those who took contributed to the appeal.
