Surgeons in training gather in Norwich
Up to 130 trainee surgeons and 24 examiners from across the country have descended on Norwich as the city hosts the Royal College of Surgeons MRCS examinations this week.
The MRCS clinical exams are taking place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on November 14-16th and are being held on Dunston ward, which is closed as part of the hospital's ward refurbishment programme.
NNUH thoracic surgeon and RCS clinical examiner Mr Wyn Parry said: “We are in the very fortunate position of having superb ward facilities at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital that are ideally suited for the clinical and communication aspects of the MRCs exams.
We first hosted these important examinations last November and the Royal College of Surgeons was so impressed that they have asked to host the national examinations at the Norfolk and Norwich again.”
