Engineering works temporarily reduces car parking

People visiting the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital are being warned that car park repairs will mean the temporary loss of 41 car park spaces from Monday December 17.
Contractors will be working in the hospital's car park H to remedy a drainage problem and in order to get the work done a total of 41 spaces will be unavailable from December 17. The work is expected to finish at the end of January 2008.
The work has been scheduled for this time of year because it is historically the quietest period in terms of demand on the hospital car parks.
Patients and visitors are being asked to consider using the hospital Park and Ride service at Costessey (a 12 minute journey on the Konect 9 service) or other local bus services to the hospital.
The hospital has a total of 854 public car park spaces (90 of which are disabled spaces) but pressure on car parking can be intense. People are also being reminded that the first half-hour of car parking at NNUH is free so that patients can be dropped off by relatives and collected later at no cost.
