Hospital team shortlisted for communications award
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's Communications team has been shortlisted for a top Chartered Institute of Public Relations award.
The hospital team has been shortlisted in the regional Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards in the category of Public Sector campaign.
The CIPR awards in the East Anglian finals are held in Newmarket on December 3 and the hospital team has been shortlisted for their work on NHS Foundation Trust consultation and membership recruitment. The trust became a NHS Foundation Trust on May 1 2008 and currently has more than 16,600 members.
The shortlisting for a CIPR award follows the NNUH team last month collecting two Awards of Excellence in the Communications in Business (CiB) Communic8 2008 awards for East Anglia.
The Communications team at NNUH picked up CiB Excellence awards in the categories of Best External Publication for The Pulse and Best Website for www.nnuh.nhs.uk
Head of communications Andrew Stronach said: “Communicating with the public and media on NHS issues has never been more important and we very pleased to have reached these finals”.
The NNUH Communications team is comprised of Sue Jones, Hayley Gerrard, Janice Bradfield and Andrew Stronach.
