New nurse and midwife posts at NNUH

Newly qualified nurses, midwives and operating theatre practitioners who are graduating from the University of East Anglia will be joining the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital this month.

Forty five nurses who are qualifying from the University of East Anglia's School of Nursing and Midwifery will be joining Norwich's university hospital during September, working in a variety of wards and clinical settings. The new recruits include 42 adult nurses and 12 children's nurses (three of whom are UEA graduates).

Two operating department practitioners (ODPs), who care for patients before, during and after surgery, are also being taken on after qualifying from UEA. They work as part of a team with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre nurses.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has also offered jobs to 11 midwives who are graduating from UEA. The hospital is still recruiting for experienced midwives and details of job vacancies can be found at www.nnuh.nhs.uk

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employs nearly 2,000 (1,980) registered nurses and midwives at its hospitals.
