Stroke ward recruitment open day
The acute stroke ward at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is holding a recruitment open day this month for nursing and therapy staff interested in new job opportunities.
Gunthorpe acute stroke unit at NNUH, has undergone a transformation this year. As a result of significant investment in the service the NNUH stroke team provides a 24/7 stroke thrombolysis service and now has a hyper-acute monitoring service.
A dynamic team of nurses assesspatients as soon as they arrive at A&E and therapists are providing rehabilitation on the ward. The ward has strong links with UEA which has fostered excellent professional development opportunities and cutting edge research is happening right on the ward.
The recruitment day is aimed at registered nurses, Band 2 healthcare assistants, and physiotherapy assistants and takes place on Gunthorpe ward on the morning of Saturday 21 November 2009 between 9.30am and 11.30am.
Nurses or healthcare/physiotherapy assistants who are interested in finding out more can come along on the morning to meet the staff, have a look round the ward, and find out about all the recent developments in Stroke services, including a consultant-led session on thrombolysis.
