Have your say on future of renal services

Patients and the public are being asked for their views on proposals for changes to renal services in Norfolk, put forward by NHS East of England Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG).

A series of consultation meetings have already been held across the region throughout January and there will one held at NNUH:

  • Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Benjamin Gooch Lecture Theatre, Colney Lane, Norwich from 2pm-4pm on Monday 8 February.

Those attending will be able to listen to a presentation about the proposals given by the lead commissioner for renal services. There will also be the chance to chat with patient representatives and clinicians about what the changes will mean for the future.

A number of new dialysis sites are being suggested so that the majority of patients are no more than 30 minutes away from a place of treatment, and to address the predicted five per cent yearly growth in the numbers of dialysis patients.

To find out what the proposed changes will mean for your area, and how to tell the East of England SCG what you think of them visit www.eoescg.nhs.uk

Alternatively, you can phone 01279 666388 to be sent a full or summary consultation document. Your views will then help to shape renal services in the region.
