Top health and safety award for hospitals
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has won a prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Award for the second year running.
The NHS Foundation Trust won the Healthcare Services Sector award at a ceremony at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre during Safety & Health Expo 2010, the UKs premier health and safety at work exhibition.
NNUH Lead Health and Safety Advisor Lynne Ainge said: “We are really proud to have received this award for the second year running which is a reflection of the ongoing positive changes in health and safety culture throughout the Trust. Awareness of the key health and safety issues is increasing within all levels of staff and a recent external health and safety audit evidenced the continuing improvements in health and safety management throughout the organisation.”
