Hospital communications team shortlisted for awards

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Communications team has been shortlisted for three top communications awards.

The NHS team has been shortlisted in the Association of Healthcare Communications and Marketing (AHCM) 2010 awards in the category of Best Use of New Media for the hospital’s use of Twitter . The finals are held on October 6.

The hospital team has also been shortlisted in the regional Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Pride awards in the categories of Best Use of Digital PR for the hospital's use of Twitter and Best Magazine for the hospital publication, The Pulse. The final is due to be held on 3rd November at Dunston Hall, Norwich.

Head of Communications Andrew Stronach said: “Being shortlisted for these awards is a real tribute to the small but excellent team we have. It is ever more important that the NHS communicates well with the public and media and we are always looking at ways of improving our communications with the public, our staff, and our NHS Foundation Trust members.”

The NNUH Communications team is comprised of Janice Bradfield, Hayley Gerrard, Sue Jones and Andrew Stronach.
