Nominations open for hospital Governor elections
Nominations have today opened for people wanting to stand for election as a Governor at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two new Governors one in Norwich and one in Broadland. The Governors will be elected by the 6,000 public members of the Trust living in Norwich and Broadland. Membership is free and open to anyone living in Norfolk or Waveney. To become a member telephone the Membership Office at NNUH on 01603 287634.
David Prior , Chairman of NNUH, said: The successful candidates will be part of our Council of Governors which represents local people, patients and staff when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals.
The NHS Foundation Trust is also holding an election for a staff Governor in the Nursing and Midwifery constituency. The election will start from September 24th when nominations open and members will be able to request a nomination form from Electoral Reform Services (ERS) by telephoning 020 8889 9203.
ERS is running the election on behalf of the Trust to ensure it is independent and fair. Nomination forms must be returned to ERS by noon on 22nd October. The results of the election will be announced on 9th December.
