A week left for hospital Governor applications

There is just over a week left for people to apply to be a hospital Governor representing either the Norwich or Broadland areas.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two new Governors who must live in Norwich or Broadland. Candidates should request a nomination form by contacting Electoral Reform Services (ERS), which is running the election for new Governors on behalf of the Trust, by telephoning 020 8889 9203.   The completed form must be submitted to ERS by noon on Friday 22nd October. 

The new Governors will be elected by the 6,000 public members of the Trust living in Norwich and Broadland.  Membership is free and open to anyone living in Norfolk or Waveney. To become a member telephone the Membership Office at NNUH on 01603 287634.

David Prior, Chairman of NNUH, said: “The successful candidates will be part of our Council of Governors which represents local people, patients and staff when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals.”

The NNUH is also holding an election for a staff Governor in the Nursing and Midwifery constituency. The election results will be announced on 9th December.
