Hospital holds three events for National Pathology Week

Three events are being held next week by the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital to mark National Pathology Week from 1-7th November.

There will be two days of talks held at the hospital on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th November, plus an exhibition at the Forum Library in Norwich from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 6th November.  The talks and exhibition will be looking at some aspects of the science behind pregnancy and childbirth.

There will be two morning sessions for Norfolk and north Suffolk schools aimed at GCSE and A-level students on 3rd and 4th November, and the afternoons on those days will be open to the public.

The talks will be held in the Gooch Lecture Theatre at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, covering subjects such as the biochemistry of pregnancy, screening for infectious diseases in pregnancy, life in utero, childbirth screening investigations, and how women are built for making babies, among others.

To make a booking for the hospital events, either e-mail membership@nnuh.nhs.uk or telephone 01603 287634.  For more information, go to www.norwichpathology.org.  No booking is required to attend the exhibition at the Forum Library on Saturday.
