Seventeen Governors sought at NNUH

Nominations will be opening on 7th March for people wanting to stand for election as a Governor at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

NNUH is seeking thirteen public Governors across Norfolk and Waveney as most of the Trust’s public Governors complete their three-year term.  The Trust is also holding elections for four staff Governors.

David Prior, Chairman of NNUH, said: “Our Governors have an important role both to represent the views of the local community when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals and to be assured that the Trust is operating efficiently and providing excellent care.”

The public Governors will be elected by the Trust's 17,000 public members who live across Norfolk and Waveney and the staff Governors will be elected by the Trust's 6,000 staff members.  The election is being run by Electoral Reform Services on behalf of the Trust to ensure it is independent and fair.

People wanting to stand for election as a Governor should call ERS on 020 8889 9203 from 7th March.  Nomination forms must be returned to ERS by noon on 22nd March.  The results of the election will be published on 9th May.
