One week to go for hospital governor applications
There is a week left for people to apply to be a hospital Governor at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust is seeking 13 public Governors from across Norfolk and Waveney and four staff Governors.
The new Governors will be elected by the Trusts 24,000 members. The successful candidates will be part of the Council of Governors which represents local people, patients and staff when decisions are made about the future of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Cromer Hospital.
David Prior, Chairman of NNUH, said: Our Governors have an important role both to represent the views of the local community when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals and to be assured that the Trust is operating efficiently and providing excellent care.
The election is being run by Electoral Reform Services on behalf of the Trust to ensure it is independent and fair. People wanting to stand for election as a Governor should call ERS on 020 8889 9203. Nomination forms must be returned to ERS by noon on 22nd March. The results of the election will be published on 9th May.
