World Book Night brings books to patients at NNUH

In-patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital will be getting a stock of new books to read thanks to a local woman who bid for the books to help mark World Book Night.

World Book Night takes place on March 5 and is an initiative that will see one million new books being given away by an army of passionate readers to members of the public across the UK and Ireland.

Lauren Wyatt, from Norwich, has kindly secured 20 brand new copies of the award-winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, by Mark Haddon, to give to wards at the hospital.

World Book Night is organised by the Publishers Association, the Booksellers Association, the Independent Publishers Guild, the Reading Agency with libraries, World Book Day and the BBC.
