Joint cancer event with NNUH and Big C
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Big C are joining forces to update local people on the latest cancer treatments and the support available to patients.
David Prior, Chairman of NNUH, said: We have a very successful partnership with Big C and this is an opportunity to update patients and the public about our work together.
The treatments available for cancer are changing all the time; and we are at the leading edge in many areas. Science and clinical practice have come together to change radically patient outcomes.
Daniel Williams, Chief Executive of Big C, said: Were delighted to work with the NNUH to share the latest cancer projects and support in Norfolk with those who are directly affected by them in our community.”
A series of talks and an exhibition are being held from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday 11th May in the Gooch Lecture Theatre at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
The talks will cover the welfare rights of patients, new techniques in radiotherapy, the genes involved in skin cancer, enhanced recovery techniques in colorectal surgery and the Mohs surgery technique for treating skin cancer.
