Cycle ride to raise funds for Norfolk Renal Fund

Richard Mulley and friends are to cycle around Norfolk in memory of his daughter Tracey Spooner who died on 6th February this year and also raise funds for the Norfolk Renal Fund at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

The cyclists will be leaving the NNUH at 9.30am on Saturday 23rd July 2011 on a route that will take them via the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston, around the coast to Cromer before returning to the NNUH in the afternoon on Sunday 24th July having cycled a total of 88 miles each.

Richard, 65, who lives in Ditchingham has been charity fund raising for many different causes since his heart attack in 1996, said “We decided to do a fund raiser for the Jack Prior Renal Unit where Tracey was a patient for many years, until she died aged just 34, so that others can also benefit from the excellent services that she received.

Dr Alex Heaton, consultant Nephrologist, and chair of the Norfolk Renal Fund said “We are really grateful to Richard and his friends for thinking of our patients and wish him well on his cycling venture”.
