NNUH Governors meet this week

The Council of Governor's meeting at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital takes place this week on Thursday 21st July from 5pm – 7pm.

During the meeting, there will be a presentation on infection control issues by NNUH Director of Infection Prevention and Control Dr Ngozi Elumogo.  It will be followed by a regular update on the quality, safety and performance of hospital services. There will also be a briefing on the Trust’s membership scheme and the events coming up in the autumn, including the Annual General Meeting due to take place from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Thursday 22nd September at the John Innes Centre.

All NHS Foundation Trusts have a Council of Governors which represents the views of patients, public and staff.     As space is limited at the meeting, members of the public who are interested in attending should contact the Membership Office on 01603 287634 or e-mail membership@nnuh.nhs.uk

Notes for Editors

The role of the Council of Governors is to represent the views of the Trust’s members when decisions are made about the future of hospital services.

There are 15 public Governors who each represent a geographical area in Norfolk or Waveney.  There are also six staff Governors who each represent a staff group, plus four appointed Governors from local organisations – The University of East Anglia, NHS Norfolk, Norfolk County Council and a representative from the District Councils.
