Abseil in aid of Norwich Cots for Tots

Childminders of toddler Lily Osborne are to take part in an abseil in aid of Norwich Cots for Tots appeal.

Childminders, Cheryl and her mother Debbie Norwell, are to take part in an abseil at Hautbois Activity Centre, near Coltishall on Sunday 9th October to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where Lily spent 56 days.

Lily was born on Friday 13th February 2009 at just 27 weeks and 5 days gestation and weighing just 1lb 7 oz (660 gms).

Parents Nicola Rodger and Jon Osborne from Norwich said “we are getting married on the Saturday 8th October and will be supporting Cheryl and Debbie before we head off on our honeymoon. We are thrilled that Cheryl and Debbie are undertaking this fundraising event for the Norwich Cots for Tots appeal”.

Cheryl and Debbie said “Looking after Lily and watching her grow up over the last two years, we wanted to do something to say thank you to the unit that helped to give Lily such a good start in life.”

Amanda Williamson, NICU Nurse Manager said “We’re very grateful to Cherly and Debbie Norwell for getting behind our appeal and organising this fundraiser. Every donation, no matter its size, will make a real difference to us and the babies we look after.”
